A digital prompter for actors
PlayHearsal speaks the other characters' lines in natural voices, goes quiet when it's your turn, and prompts you when you get stuck. The whole play, on your phone — no internet, no account.

Oxen Meadows are ours, not yours!
No, mine, honoured Natalya Stepanovna.
It’s not true, they’re ours!
How it works
A link on WhatsApp. Tap it, and the play — text and voices — lands in the app all by itself. No PlayHearsal yet? Install the app, then tap the link again.
Mute your character. The others speak their lines; yours wait for you.
Line by line, with pauses as long as you need. Jump forward or back with a tap.
Your phone listens while you say your line and prompts you exactly where you stopped.
What it can do
Every character gets a natural voice. The play sounds like a read-through, not like a robot.
Your character stays silent: you speak their lines yourself, out loud, right on cue.
It recognizes where you are in the text and carries on by itself after your line. It uses your phone's own speech recognition, and PlayHearsal keeps nothing of what it hears.
A line sounds off? Record over it: replace it, add one before, after, or at the end.
Start a rehearsal with nobody muted and the play runs on its own, end to end.
Text, voices and roles in a single .playhearsal file you send to your castmates.
